Review – UITP Summit 2025 in Hamburg

News 07/07/2025: From June 15 to 18, we joined S-Bahn Hamburg at the UITP Global Public Transport Summit 2025 at Hamburg Messe. As a partner of the “IdeenzugUrban” we contributed to shaping a visionary concept for the future of urban mobility.

IdeenzugUrban – The Future of Urban Public Transport

With the IdeenzugUrban, S-Bahn Hamburg presented a forward-looking interior concept for future vehicles in urban transit. As a “space of possibilities,” it highlights how public transport can become more flexible, digital, and sustainable. CAPTRON supported this vision with smart sensor technology and user-friendly solutions for the public transport sector.

Smart & Safe – CAPTRON Technology in Action

Our capacitive switches and HMI solutions enabled intuitive, hygienic, and accessible operation within the IdeenzugUrban. Whether for door control, lighting concepts, or interactive panels – CAPTRON technology helped make public spaces safer and more comfortable. A highlight was our contribution of durable touch components that are maintenance-free and vandal-proof.

Shaping Tomorrow’s Mobility – Together

Working closely with S-Bahn Hamburg on this project was a great success. The IdeenzugUrban is not a new vehicle series, but a platform for innovation – and we are proud to be part of that future. The feedback at the UITP Summit was overwhelmingly positive and confirmed the high demand for smart solutions in urban public transport.
