Spirig HealthCare AG chooses CAPTRON to build a new logistics center

News 04/16/2026: Spirig HealthCare has built its own logistics center with over 2,000 picking locations across approximately 2,600 m², powered by a fully integrated end-to-end solution from CAPTRON. The company now delivers life-saving medications across Switzerland within just a few hours.

In-house logistics for maximum supply reliability

Spirig HealthCare AG, a Swiss pharmaceutical company with over 75 years of experience and part of the STADA Group since 2012, has launched a new in-house logistics center in Wangen an der Aare. Previously, logistics operations were spread across multiple external locations. By centralizing everything, Spirig HealthCare AG has regained full control over its supply chain and sustainably strengthened supply reliability within the Swiss healthcare system.

The challenge: The entire intralogistics operation had to be rebuilt from scratch and consolidated at a single location, all while maintaining ongoing operations. The system needed to deliver immediate performance while remaining future-proof. Spirig HealthCare AG chose a fully integrated end-to-end solution from CAPTRON, consisting of the oneGRID Cloud as the software platform, Pick-by-Light with LED strips, and mobile picking carts for multi-order picking. The entire system was integrated into the existing SAP infrastructure and implemented under strict pharmaceutical quality requirements.
